CITY Professional Development Center is proud to host the Spring Symposium on Collaborative Learning on Friday, April 18, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at City High School, 48 E. Pennington Street, in downtown Tucson. Collaborate with other Arizona educators to develop, sharpen and share innovative approaches to teaching and learning.
Specifically, this year we will focus on developing STEM-related learning activities and assessments across the curriculum to increase critical thinking, collaboration, and innovation in our schools and classrooms. Keynote speaker, DaNel Hogan, Director of the STEMAZing Project, will provide an overview of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education and share her vast network of helpful and accessible STEM tools and resources. The day is designed to maximize participant learning so that participants will be resources for each other by practicing careful listening, giving skillful feedback, and engaging in meaningful discussions.
Parking is available at the Pennington St. Garage on the corner of Pennington St. and Scott Ave. Light breakfast and catered lunch will be served. The registration fee is $60. Click here to register.
