It’s that time of year when we all arise from our summer stupor and ready ourselves for the return to school. Your teachers are already hard at work; all focused on making this year the best ever. We will be writing more soon, but here are a few things you need to know right now:
- The first day of school is Thursday, Aug. 6 at 8:30. We have really important learning planned for those days around team building, establishing culture, setting up technology and giving initial assessments, so please do everything you can to make sure you are setting your child up for success by getting him/her to school bright and early on day one.
- Many of you have not yet paid your supply/activities fees. Please do so before school starts on Thursday, Aug. 6th or sometime on the first day. The fees are $75.00 and there is financial aid available for those who need it.
- Speaking of school supplies – these fees pay for everything except your student’s backpacks and water bottle – both of which should be brought to school daily.
- Drop off and pick up can be a little bit challenging, especially at the beginning of the year when routines have yet to be established. We will have staff out in front of the school at the beginning and end of the day to help, but patience and kindness would be appreciated (please see the PFFS-D and PFFS-U weekly schedules for important information about coming and going at the two schools).
