Las Milpitas Urban Community Farm will be hosting many community cooking and volunteer days throughout the school year. Students from City High School and the two Paulo Freire Freedom Schools, along with their family and friends, are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Cooking events will include harvesting and cooking with farm fresh ingredients, adobe oven cooking, solar cooking, cooking with native ingredients and much more. Community volunteer days will be organized around specific farm tasks and improvement projects. All of these events will be excellent opportunities for volunteerism, exercise, making friends and tasting great fresh foods. Come join us on the following Saturdays! RSVP is necessary for the Community Cooking Days. Please contact Leah Farbstein (contact info below) to RSVP. All events are free and open to the public.
