This Spring, in collaboration with the VOICES Afterschool Program, City High is launching a Family Wellness Initiative. The initiative is aimed at connecting families to wellness activities and resources in the Tucson community. As wellness has recently become a strategic focus of the City High experience, it is fitting to extend this effort to our CHS and PFFS families.
The Family Wellness Initiative will launch with a Spring 2016 Family Night Series. The event series will include a family hike, a cooking class and a visit to Playformance and will center on being active, building strong family relationships and healthy home cooking. See the schedule below for dates and stay tuned for details about each event. All events are free and open to City High and Paulo Freire students, families and staff.
While the first event, a family fitness hike up nearby Tumamoc Hill, already took place yesterday, we encourage you to attend the subsequent three events. This is an especially great opportunity for Paulo students and families thinking about matriculating to City High. This will be an excellent chance to make personal connections with City High students, staff and families and get inside information on the school.
