We’ve concluded another amazing Intersession week at both Paulo Freire Freedom School campuses. Students traveled to Mexico, learned about Japan, backpacked the Arizona Trail, rode bikes around Tucson, studied plants, studied architecture, explored cultural understandings of death, conducted forensics experiments, wrote stories and poems, hunted ghosts, tasted coffee and chocolate, and constructed costumes for people and dogs.
Wow, what a week! Where else can students engage in this kind of extended, real-world learning? We are super appreciative of all our family support. Thank you to all the parent drivers, our myriad community partners, and, of course, our incredible teachers and their infinite energy, creativity, and care.
