We are very excited to announce that Gaby Gutierrez will be the lead teacher for the sixth and seventh-grade Humanities classes next year. Gaby has been an educational assistant and advisor at PFFS-U for two years. Gaby graduated with honors from the University of Arizona and is highly qualified in English. She will maintain her role as an advisor and will also serve in the role of co-teacher to the eighth-grade Humanities class.
Mallory Reed Hansen has returned to work full time at PFFS-U in the role of Office Manager. Mallory has previously worked as an educational assistant and lead Humanities teacher at PFFS-U. We are very excited to welcome her back and have her skills and talents at the front desk. Mallory will also return to her role as an advisor.
Marcus Whitaker is a new addition to our staff and will be the lead teacher for the eighth-grade Humanities class. Marcus is highly qualified in English and Social Studies. Marcus previously worked at PFFS-D and before then at Civano Middle School in Vail. Marcus’ full-time position includes working with Gaby as a co-teacher for sixth and seventh-grade Humanities, directing the eighth-grade service learning program, and creating more community outreach through his work with CommunityShare. We are excited to welcome Marcus to our staff.
We are saying goodbye to Mariah Harvey and Britta Homelvig this summer, as both are leaving PFFS-U to pursue new professional opportunities. They leave behind them a legacy of exceptional teaching, collaboration, and care. We will miss them both, and we wish them the very best of luck in their new endeavors.
