At Paulo Freire Downtown we have two new staff members who already feel like family. They are wonderful additions and we are so glad to have them!
Celina Casillas will be the PFFS-Downtown Student Support Services Teacher. She graduated from the UofA with a Bachelor’s degree of Psychology and a minor in Sociology. While attending college, she helped direct an afterschool program for teenagers from low-income families. Celina has a behavioral health background first working at La Frontera facilitating various therapeutic groups for children ages 5 up to 17 years old, and later working at the Geriatric Psychiatric unit at St. Mary’s hospital. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree of Education in Special Education through Grand Canyon University.
