We encourage our students to ride their bikes to school. However, with the return of U of A students also comes the return of people looking to steal bikes. If your student rides their bike to school, it is imperative they use a heavy u-lock to secure their bike to the bike rack. We also recommend an additional cord that is not easily cut that can be woven through to also protect quick-release rear wheels. Unfortunately, we have had PFFS student bikes stolen from in front of the school by bike thieves. Each time, the bike did not have a u-lock securing it to the bike rack. Be safe, wear a helmet, and properly secure your bikes to the bike rack using a heavy duty u-lock and an additional cord.
