City High Journalists Win Prestigious Awards

Members of City High Radio

City High students took home eight prestigious awards, including top honors, at the Arizona Interscholastic Press Association (AIPA) Fall Conference and Awards Ceremony. The AIPA hosts Arizona’s only state-wide journalism contest. Students compete in each category with peers from all over the state.

Read more about the awards, the students, and their stories on the City High website.

City High Radio is a youth-produced podcast led by teacher Sarah Bromer. Students produce longer length stories as well as shorter Vox Pops. Vox Pops are meant to capture the “voice of the people” and focus on one central question with a medley of community members’ responses woven together and set to a song.
