As we will be celebrating fall break at both Paulo Freire Freedom School campuses, there will be no school next week. Enjoy the cooler temperatures and time spent with family and friends. School will resume on Monday, October 17. Have fun!
We’ve concluded another amazing Intersession week at both Paulo Freire Freedom School campuses. The culminating project of the 8th-grade Humanities unit on civil rights is a prison reform presentation. This Wednesday, 9/14/16, is our first ever Maker Day. We are all very excited to explore a wide-range of equipment and tools ranging from a 3-D printer to a lathe. On Wednesday, Sept. 14th, we will have a STEM-intensive Maker Day for students at both PFFS campuses. Students from both campuses will work together with our staff and community experts to learn computer programming, power tools, sewing, 3-D printing, and more. The school day will end at the usual Wednesday time of 1:45.
Neither PFFS-U or PFFS-D will have school on Monday, Sept. 5th, because of Labor Day. We will resume our regular classes on Tuesday. Celebrate workers, and enjoy your long weekend!
