Students at PFFS-University learned of their Fall 2014 Intersession assignments this morning (9/12/14) and met for the first time with their Intersession groups to hear/discuss the exciting things they would be doing during Fall Intersession (9/29 – 10/3). There will be an Exhibition Open House for parents and families of PFFS-Downtown next Thursday morning, September 18th, from 9:30 to 11:00. On display will be students’ scaled space models and explanatory brochures. They will be available to explain their learning and answer questions. Feel free to drop in and check us out!
On Monday, September 15th, PFFS-Downtown students will learn what Intersession they will be attending and will be given information about their week. Look for parent letters that will be sent home and will be posted on the website.

The PFFS-University ‘Student Advisory Council’ has designated the week of September 8-12 as SPIRIT WEEK. Participation in SPIRIT WEEK (dressing up) is optional but if you are new to the school please note that lots of students do participate. At 10:00 am on Friday 8/29, students from both the University and Downtown locations of Paulo Freire Freedom School will be joining together with City High School students at the Armory Park Center to see and hear a presentation of the ‘Tucson Folksingers Remembrance Project 1955-1962’.
