On Friday 9/5 our seventh graders are headed to the Tucson Museum of Art. Happily, we are able to take advantage of PFFS-University’s wonderful location and Tucson’s amazing walkability to commute there on foot! While at the Museum of Art, we will be visiting Mat Bevel’s Museum of Kinetic Art, a temporary exhibition that uses found objects to make fantastical kinetic sculptures and performance props. Not only does the exhibit promise to be fun and funky, it will also help our students further explore their current unit’s theme of inventions and cultures by giving them a broader understanding of what inventions are and how they might be used!
