PFFS-University 6th graders are going on expedition Friday, November 7th to Tumamoc Hill to participate in the Sky Island Science Investigators Program. While there, we will be learning about the local ecology as well as helping conduct cactus surveys by performing a spatial analysis of the plants. It will be a great opportunity for students to become better acquainted with our local ecosystem as well as conduct some citizen science!
I am in need of drivers to take us to and from Tumamoc. It is a short drive and we will be at the site for the majority of the morning (from 9:30-11:30) before eating lunch and returning to school. Please email or call Ariane Mohr-Felsen (Expedition Coordinator) if you are able to help! firstname.lastname@example.org 520-624-7552
Also, please make sure your child has a water bottle, a lunch, and is wearing long pants and closed toe shoes on Friday.
