Friday, April 15, the PFFS-U seventh grade will be on expedition. We are participating in a Buffelgrass Removal Project at San Marcos Park, about 10 minutes away from school. We will be leaving school at 9:00 AM and returning between 12:30 and 1:00 PM.
Students need to wear close-toed shoes and long pants, as well as bring sun protection (sunscreen, hat, long sleeves). They also need to bring a water bottle, lunch, and snacks. The water bottle is especially important–recently students have not been coming to school with them and this becomes a safety concern with our expeditions during warmer months.
When there, the students will receive tools and equipment to remove the Buffelgrass, as well as learn background info on its impact on our Sonoran Desert.
