This week, the 7th grade will be going to Agua Caliente Park. While there they will participate in a Bat Research Simulation run by Pima Co. Parks and Rec. Our 7th graders will learn about the fascinating lives of bats while they practice scientific field research methods during this outdoor bat netting simulation. Students will collect model bats, take measurements, identify species, and record data which are compared to actual bat data from research in Southern Arizona.
Please make sure your student has a lunch, a full water bottle, closed toed shoes, and weather-appropriate attire.
We are in need of drivers. We will be departing around 9 AM and back around 1 pm. In between, you are welcome to stay on expedition or leave and come back to retrieve us 🙂
