The Summer Institute on SRI Critical Friendship is a 5-day, intensive, hands-on professional development experience. Participants will learn strategies to develop, facilitate, and sustain professional learning communities in their schools.
Participants will have opportunities to practice the protocols and facilitation skills necessary to facilitate a group in collaborative examinations of teacher and student work with the goal of increasing student achievement.
The institute will be geared toward teacher-leaders and other educators who are interested in facilitating a professional learning community; however, it will also be useful for school leaders who want to hone their facilitative leadership skills and move their school to be a more collaborative and equitable community of learners.
Cost is $600 per participant and includes parking, daily breakfast and lunch on two of the days.
