From our friends at the Joel D. Valdez Public Library
“Learn from the best at our Video Game Design Workshop! We are excited to welcome game designer Barrie from E-Line Media in New York City to Tucson to teach Middle and High School students a 3-hour workshop about game design and help you get started on your entries into the National Stem Video Game Challenge. This annual contest encourages young people to design video games, and awards recognition and cash prizes to the top teen designers. We are lucky indeed to be one of just a few sites in the country to host these workshops. We’re excited to work together and see what you can do!
The workshop is 3 hours, from 1-4 pm, with hands-on activities and design time on the computer. After the workshop we will be available to talk about how to enter the contest, and what support the library has to offer between January 3 and the contest deadline of February 25.”
