Ariane Mohr-Felsen

Ariane Mohr-FelsenHey all! I’m Ariane and I run our Expedition program (our weekly field trips throughout Tucson!) and our AfterSchool program. I’ve been working at PFFS since 2013 and couldn’t be happier. I feel lucky to come to work every day…in fact, it doesn’t really feel like work to me, instead it feels like coming to another family. The sense of community is profound. Thanks to everyone–students, families, and staff–I find myself continually surrounded by laughter, new perspectives, and opportunities for growth.

I’ve been in Tucson since 2010 and love it here. Before that, I have been lucky enough to live throughout the US, in Europe, and in Southern Africa, as well as travel to different parts of Latin America. Workwise, I’ve spent time on farms, at nonprofit organizations, out leading backpacking trips, here in town running summer camps, and abroad teaching at a traveling high school just for girls.

Tucson definitely keeps me busy with its own opportunities for adventure! I find joy running on the trails in our mountains, going out to dance socials, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, checking out new climbing crags, working on my yoga practice, or spending time with my incredible group of friends. Plus, dark chocolate, tea, and a good book also always make my heart happy 🙂 Oh, and of course, I get pretty excited when I spend time figuring out where I want to visit and explore next!

Thank you for the incredible privilege of being a part of this community. It makes me a better person every day!
