Born and raised among the cornfields of the midwest, I found myself going to college “out west” at Northern Arizona University where I studied Spanish and Latin American Studies and also received a Masters in Teaching Spanish.  11 Years ago my husband and I moved from Flagstaff to Tucson and each year here I love the city and the desert more; however, I try to convince my husband at least once a week that we should move to Costa Rica!

I have taught Spanish at the University level – in both the traditional classroom and on-line format – and at PFFS since 2004 and I love the variety of challenges that come with each new class that comes my way.

I am a mom to two wonderful school-aged kids and love to be in nature hiking, running, swimming or just sitting enjoying the beauty.  I also enjoy exploring different cultures (and their foods!), engaging in issues of social justice and participating in Christian ministry with my family.
